Cage Decorations

There are lots of fun cage decorations you can get for your corn snake's enclosure. Fake plants, logs etc. work best. Real plants aren't recommended for a number of reasons. They can attract bugs and are probably in soil that contains fertilizers. This would be hazardous for your snake. If you do want to use some "natural" type decorations, look for a nice rock. Not only do they look nice, but a rock can be helpful for your corn snake when it's time to shed. The rough edges of the rock will give the snake a place to rub and help get it's shed off. Wash the rock good with soap and water before using. Some pet stores sell rock and also carry wood branches that have been heat treated. Those are okay to use.
